Hi everyone, I know it has been a quiet year in terms of blog posts and writing, but I can assure you it has been anything but quiet for This is Fatherhood! Two podcast episode appearances, continued growth of the in-person fatherhood groups I lead, new clients for parent coaching, and continuing to juggle the many different contracts and jobs I do to support parents and families kept me very busy!

But I had to return here to share about a new opportunity that I was a part of that I was very proud to participate in. I had the distinct honor and privilege of being a Panelist at the Family Support Summit 2025 for the Breakout Session:  Fathers as Leaders: Shifting Culture, Breaking Barriers. I got to share my voice and my experiences connecting and facilitating groups with fathers with other amazing fatherhood leaders like Neil Tift and Malcolm Redhair of the Native American Fatherhood and Families Association, Chris Brown, President of the National Fatherhood Initiative, and Dr. James Rodriguez, President and CEO of the Fathers and Families Coalition of America!

It was an awesome panel and a true honor to be there with some of the top Fatherhood Leaders and Advocates from around the country. We all had some amazing thoughts to share and our audience was a terrific group of family care professionals that seemed to enjoy our experiences. One of the best parts…we finished with everyone sharing some amazing Dad Jokes in the chat to make sure that we all left with a smile. I shared one that my daughter shared with me the night before:

What type of flower grows on your face?

Tulips!

It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend you check out the Family Support Summit next year if you get the chance!

This is fatherhood…
