For this week’s Sunday Spotlight I wanted to feature one of my favorite fatherhood figures: Doyin Richards aka “Daddy Doin’ Work”. He was one of the first guys I started following when I became a Dad and was looking for more information on how to be a good dad. Doyin is honest, funny, hard-hitting on tough topics and is clearly a phenomenal dad and advocate for dads everywhere. He’s published three books each of which I wanted to feature here in the Sunday Spotlight.

Daddy Doin’ Work – This book is for dads, moms, step dads, and all parental guardians. Doyin doesn’t pull punches in calling out dads who don’t live up to their title and empowers and encourages moms and dads who clearly are working hard at raising and loving their kids.

I Wonder: Celebrating Daddies Doin’ Work – Doyin’s first children’s book is an amazing one for all dads to read with their kids. It celebrates what all dads love about being with their kids while also asking that question parents always wonder: Do you know how much I love you?

What’s the Difference? Being Different Is Amazing – Another children’s book that is extremely timely given what’s going on in our world today. I love how this book celebrates differences and gives parents a great base to start from to talk to their kids about race and people who may look different. This is an incredibly important book for teaching empathy…I highly recommend it!

You can read more about Doyin at his website and I highly recommend following his blog and Instagram. He really is doin’ great work!
